The XIX International Chopin Piano Competition (Polish: XIX Międzynarodowy Konkurs Pianistyczny im. Fryderyka Chopina) will be held from 2 to 23 October 2025 in Warsaw.

Background[edit]

The Chopin Competition is the most important musical event in Poland.[1] The 2025 edition will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the competition.[2] The celebrations will begin on 2 October 2025 and will last five years.[3]

The winning poster design for promoting the competition was selected through an international competition organized by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where fifteen artists submitted a total of 30 entries. The jury, consisting of Błażej Ostoja Lniski [pl], Prot Jarnuszkiewicz, Mieczysław Wasilewski and Artur Szklener [pl], awarded the 40,000 złoty (US$10,000) prize to Marcin Władyka. All submitted poster designs will be exhibited October 1-31, 2025 at the Academy's Czapski Palace, which will also host accompanying events.[3][4]

Pianists born in the years 1995–2009 will be able to participate in the competition.[1]
