Lindsay Kennedy-Eversmeyer (born February 24, 1980) is the first woman to play in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) and fourth to play for a men's professional indoor soccer team.[1][2] In February 2005, she made her debut for the St. Louis Steamers during the last minute of the match against the Milwaukee Wave.[1] The team signed her to a five-game contract following her appearance.[1]

Coaching Career[edit]

In 2012 Eversmeyer started Fire & Ice SC, a semi-professional team competing in the WPSL. Fire & Ice SC won 4 Conference Championships, 2 Region Championships, and in 2017 her team won the WPSL National Championship.

In 2013 Eversmeyer became the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Harris-Stowe State University and quickly transitioned to being the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for the University of Missouri St. Louis in 2014.

In 2021 she became the Assistant Girls Soccer Coach at Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, IL and helped guide the team to a State Championship.

In 2022 she was named Head Men's Soccer Coach at Southwestern Illinois College becoming the first female men's soccer coach in the NJCAA.

Honors and Awards[edit]

In 2016, Eversmeyer was inducted into the Alton High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Eversmeyer won the Keough Award in 2018 for outstanding soccer player in St. Louis. In 2023 she was inducted into the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame and the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. In 2024, she was inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame.
