Rachel Walkingshaw (born 16 July 1994) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Livingston.
Club career[edit]
Walkingshaw began her career at Hibernian, where she played at youth level with the likes of Claire Emslie, Siobhan Hunter and Caroline Weir.[1] Her breakthrough as a senior player came in the 2013 season in which she made 19 Scottish Women's Premier League appearances, scoring nine goals,[2] and featured in the 2013 Scottish Women's Cup final which Hibs lost to Glasgow City. Six months later she appeared in the 2014 Scottish Women's Premier League Cup final, but again finished on the losing side to the same opposition. Prior to the 2015 season she joined Hutchison Vale,[3] one of four teams relegated at the end of that year.
Walkingshaw next switched to Hearts,[4] and joined the club for a second time in 2019 after a spell at Spartans. After a great start to the SWPL 2 season, the midfielder won the Scottish Building Society SWPL Player of the Month for February 2019.[5][6] Hearts went on to win the divisional title and were promoted to the top tier.[7]
In February 2020, Walkingshaw signed for Livingston, the newly-formed club in her hometown.[8]
International career[edit]
Walkingshaw made five appearances at various youth levels for Scotland.[9]
