Hormuud University is a private, non-profit higher education institution located in Mogadishu, Somalia. While offering innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the university places a strong emphasis on engineering and technology.

Overview[edit]

Hormuud University, established in 2010 by Hormuud Telecom,[1] aims to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in engineering and technology in Somalia amidst the destruction of educational facilities and public assets following 1991's central government collapse.[2] The university is a member of several organizations, local, regional and international.[3][4]
