Ksenia Strizh (Russian: Ксения Стриж, real name Ksenia Yurievna Volyntseva Russian: Ксе́ния Ю́рьевна Волынцева; born January 4, 1967, Moscow) is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress, radio and television presenter, and DJ.[1]

Biography[edit]

Born on January 4, 1967, in Moscow in the family of theater and film actor Yuri Volyntsev (1932–1999).

In 1988 she graduated from the acting department of the Shchukin School (course of Alla Kazanskaya). She studied together with Alexey Lysenkov, Yana Poplavskaya, Yuliya Rutberg, Lydia Velezheva, Irina Klimova, Olga Semyonova.[2] For some time she played in performances of the local theater.[3]

Later she studied at the Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting, Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University.

She hosted music programs and was a DJ on the radio stations “Europa Plus” (1990–1997), “Classics” (1997–2000), “Monte Carlo” (2000), “Radio Chanson” (2000–2003), etc.

Since 2003, she has hosted the evening show “DK” on AvtoRadio.

Since 2014, she has hosted the show “One Evening with Ksenia Strizh” on Vesna FM radio.

Since 2018, he has been hosting the show “Strizh-Time” (later changed to “Living String”) on Radio Chanson.[4]

Since March 8, 1993, she hosted the program “At Ksyusha’s” on the Russia 1 channel. From 2007 to 2008, she hosted the program “Good Night” on Channel One.[5]

Since 2018, she has been one of the hosts of the conversation program “Born in the USSR” on Nostalgia TV.

She was a presenter on the La Minor TV channel. After a scandal related to the fact that she appeared on air drunk and laughed at the teeth of her guest Alexander Solodukha, information appeared about her dismissal,[6] but Ksenia began working on the channel again until the end of 2013.

Personal life[edit]

At the age of 18, she married 24-year-old Igor Minaev, an aspiring theater director. The marriage did not last long. At the age of 30, Minaev became a monk, receiving the name Isidore, and in 2004 became abbot of the Konevsky Monastery.[7]

There was a relationship with Andrey Makarevich.[8][9]

Her last husband Andrey Susikov, an advertising director.[10]
