Jonathan Michael Mogbo (born October 29, 2001) is an American basketball player. He played college basketball at Independence Community College, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Missouri State, and San Francisco.

Early life and high school[edit]

Mogbo grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida and attended Forest Hill Community High School.[1]

College career[edit]

Mogbo had no Division I scholarship offers in high school began his college basketball career at Independence Community College.[2] He transferred to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College before the start of his sophomore season.[3] Magbo averaged 14.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game with the Golden Norsemen.[4]

Mogbo transferred to Missouri State for his junior season.[5] He was the Bears' starting power forward and averaged 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. After the season, Mogbo entered NCAA transfer portal.[6]

Mogbo ultimately transferred to San Francisco.[7][8] He was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Newcomer of the Year and first team All-WCC after averaging 14.2 points and a conference-high 10.1 rebounds per game.[9] After the season, Mogbo declared for the 2024 NBA draft and re-entered the NCAA transfer portal. He opted remain in the draft and forgo his remaining season of collegiate eligibility.[10]
